Eulogy by Patience Ennis -sister - at the Service

Created by Andrew 2 years ago
“Stephy was the most wonderful sister. She took her role as the eldest extremely seriously, guiding & supporting us in so many ways.
She inspired a love of books, reading to us everything from Beatrix Potter to Greek tragedy.
She taught us to draw from nature and our imagination.
She let us use her most precious watercolours, pastels, Windsor & Newton coloured inks, calligraphy pens; all tools of her trade.
She taught us to make jewellery with 100's and 1000's of tiny beads or a dear little enamelling set.
She sewed and embroidered and stitched by hand or with her faithful Singer sewing machine.
She helped us to knit miniature blankets and clothes for our teddies.
And to make tiny weeny upholstery for the doll's house.
She was a prolific writer of letters sending us compelling stories from school, university and far flung holidays.
She encouraged us to design, annotate, decorate, and create.
Candle making. Pottery. Fancy dress outfits. Tapestry.
She nursed us when we were ill, cried with us in happiness and sadness and danced with us whenever we wanted.
We treasure the unconditional love she gave to us as a sister, daughter, mother, aunt, godmother, friend and lover of all God's World."
